We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Sushi Chef to join our Japanese cuisine and breakfast kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have experience in sushi making and cutting fish/sashimi, deep frying, maintain cleanliness, and ensure the smooth operation of the kitchen. Responsibilities:
Preparing ingredients, including cutting, chopping, and portioning food.
Preparation of Japanese cuisine and breakfast dishes, including deep frying and ensuring quality and presentation.
Maintain a clean and organized kitchen workspace, including dishwashing and equipment cleaning.‘
Monitor stock levels of kitchen supplies and ingredients, and order ingredients.
Follow food safety and hygiene regulations at all times.
Help in setting up and closing down the kitchen, including equipment maintenance.
Cooperate with cafe manager.
Requirements:
Minimum 1 year previous experience in a sushi cuisine kitchen environment is required.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards.
Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and public holidays as needed.
A positive attitude and the ability to work well as part of a team.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: From $33.00 per hour
Expected hours: 38 per week
