The State Head will be responsible for driving strategic engagement with government departments, public sector undertakings, and allied institutions, ensuring growth in business volumes, profitability, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage government business operations across assigned states.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in state governments, municipal bodies, and public institutions.
- Drive acquisition and servicing of government accounts, deposits, and institutional banking products.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines and internal policies.
Identify new business opportunities and work closely with product, operations, and compliance teams to deliver tailored solutions.
- Guide and mentor a team of Relationship Managers to achieve business targets.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities to strategize effectively.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Minimum 10-15 years of relevant experience in government or institutional banking.
- Proven track record in handling high-value government relationships.
- Strong understanding of public sector dynamics and regulatory environment.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
- MBA or equivalent degree in Finance/Banking preferred
