How you’ll make a difference

You will use your diverse administration skills to assist our team with a variety of administration tasks. You will work with colleagues to promote the Alpine Shire as a customer-focused organisation. You will need to be passionate, multi-skilled, collegial and be able to consistently deliver operational services in a timely, friendly and organised manner.

As part of our team you will be responsible for:

Providing front line customer service in addressing planning counter queries, telephone and electronic enquiries

Administering planning applications and delivery software to provide a smooth and efficient customer experience for community and officers alike.

Our ideal candidate

With your excellent administration and communication skills, you will be able to work with your colleagues and our community to deliver an effective service focused on the stewardship of place. You are adaptive, can multi-task, prioritise, meet deadlines and use computer systems including the Microsoft suite to get your job done well.

We will appreciate you having curiosity and some knowledge about planning or a willingness to learn with us. Your professionalism will enhance Council’s reputation as a responsive and efficient organisation.

You will have:

Demonstrated experience in working in planning and/or local government (desirable).

A Tertiary Qualification in Planning or a related field would be an advantage.

Experience in using computer-based and records management systems.

Developing analytical, interpretative, and problem-solving skills.

Good communication skills, including stakeholder engagement and foundation conflict resolution skills.

Salary Band 5 classification, from $75,++8 - $82,538 per annum
