About the role
The Private Clinic is seeking a Sterilising Technician (CSSD) to join our team in Surry Hills, NSW. In this role, you will be responsible for the sterilisation and maintenance of medical equipment, ensuring the highest standards of infection control and patient safety.
The Private Clinic is a reproductive healthcare clinic which offers surgical and medical termination of pregnancy, and insertions of IUDs under IV sedation. Our small and dedicated team of nurses and doctors are passionate about the services that we provide and the successful applicant must share our passion.
You must be available to work on our regular procedural days, including Wednesday, Friday and Saturdays.
What you'll be doing
Decontaminate, inspect, assemble, pack, and sterilise medical instruments and equipment according to relevant standards and protocols
Maintain accurate records and documentation related to the sterilisation process
Set up theatre instruments for procedures
Assist medical and nursing staff during procedures
Assist patients in theatre before and after procedures
Assist in the management and organisation of the clinic's infection control processes
Adhere to all relevant health and safety regulations and infection control procedures
What we're looking for
Certificate III in Sterilisation Services, Medical Device Reprocessing or an EN/RN with CSSD experience
Experience working as a Theatre Technician or Sterilising Technician (CSSD)
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and sterility
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with medical staff
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge of relevant health and safety regulations and infection control protocols
You must be passionate about reproductive healthcare
