JobDescriptionDuties andresponsibilities:
1 Greets guests and presentsthem with the menu.2 Informs guests aboutthe special items for the day and menu changes ifany.3 Suggest food and beverages to theguest and also try to upsell.4 Take food andbeverage orders from the guest on the order taking pads or onthe handheld Point of sale ( POS )system.5 Obtaining revenues issuing receiptsaccepting payments returning the change.6Performing basic cleaning tasks as needed or directed bysupervisor.7 Filling in for absent staff asneeded8 Punch the order on the POS machineand make sure to enter the specialrequirements made by the guest whileordering the food. Eg: No Garlic less spicy etc Withoutegg etc.9 communicateto the guests and provide assistance with theirqueries10 Co - ordinate with the buspersonkitchen staff bar staff to ensure smooth operationand guestsatisfaction.11 Server food and beverage tothe guest as per the course of order.12Observes guests and ensure their satisfaction with the food andservice.13 Promptly respond to guest withany additional request.14 Maintaining properdining experience delivering items fulfilling customer needsoffering15 desserts and drinks removingcourses replenishing utensils refillingglasses.16 Prepare mixed drinks for serviceto your customers table.17 Properly open andpour wine at the tableside.18 Adhere togrooming and appearance standardsconsistently.19 Understands and cancommunicate products and services available at theresort.20 Must have some familiarity withbasic cooking skills.21 Assist buspersonswith stocking and maintaing the resturant par stock levels andside station.22 Helpother areas of the restaurant such as answering telephones andcompleting financialtransactions.23 Print closing report anddrop the cash with the front office / accountsdepartment.24 Tally the Credit Cardsettlements for the day with the batch closing report fromEDC machine.25 Closethe shift on the POSterminal.
