We are seeking a dedicated and attentive individual to join our team as a Steward. As a steward, you will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in our establishment. From hotels to restaurants, the Steward will ensure that all areas are kept tidy and that equipment and supplies are properly organized. The ideal candidate possesses excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic.
Responsibilities
• Clean and sanitize all areas of the establishment, including dining rooms, restrooms, and kitchen areas
• Wash, sanitize, and organize dishes, glassware, and utensils
• Implement proper waste disposal procedures according to company guidelines
• Maintain cleanliness and stock levels of cleaning supplies
• Assist in food preparation by chopping vegetables and fruits, and assembling ingredients
• Ensure that all equipment, such as ovens, stoves, and fryers, are clean and in good working condition
• Maintain a clean and organized back-of-house area, including storage rooms and refrigerators
Requirements
• Proven experience of 1-2 years as a steward or in a similar role
• Knowledge of safety and sanitation regulations in a hospitality setting
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
• Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods of time
