Storage Administrator

#Freepost Designation: Storage Administrator Experience: 5+ years of experience Qualification: Graduation/Engineering in Computer or Electronics. Location: Mumbai Key Responsibilities Administer and support enterprise Storage Infrastructure, including NAS and SAN environments. Provision and allocate disk storage based on business and application requirements. Coordinate with OEMs and third-party vendors for hardware/software support, including case logging and escalation. Manage and configure SAN switches, with hands-on expertise in Brocade and Cisco environments. Perform end-to-end LUN management, including provisioning, decommissioning, and performance tuning. Maintain and operate HP 3PAR, HP Store Easy, and HP MSA storage systems. Configure and manage RAID groups, including performing reconfigurations as needed for performance or redundancy. Provision and manage storage resources such as file shares (CIFS/SMB), NFS file systems, and block-level LUNs. Monitor storage systems for performance, capacity, and availability; generate reports and implement improvements. Coordinate data archival processes in collaboration with business data owners and compliance teams. Utilize snapshots, clones, and volume copies for backup, restore, and testing environments. Map hosts/servers to storage devices to ensure correct access and performance. Liaise with internal stakeholders to gather storage requirements and deliver appropriate solutions.
