Job Description
The Store Business Development Senior Executive is responsible for the post-launch performance and profitability of retail stores. This role involves deep engagement in daily store operations, including inventory management, sales analysis, cash flow accuracy, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement initiatives. The candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring that stores not only meet but exceed performance benchmarks by using data-driven insights and on-ground observations to refine strategies and operations. A key aspect of this role is to maintain strong relationships with franchise partners, ensuring smooth collaboration and addressing any grievances or operational challenges they may face.
Key Responsibilities
1. Post-Opening Business Oversight
- Ensure smooth functioning of store operations after launch.
- Monitor stock levels, product availability, and replenishment processes to avoid stock-outs or overstocking.
- Analyze product sales trends and recommend adjustments to stock and display strategies.
2. Sales & Revenue Analysis
- Track daily, weekly, and monthly sales performance against targets.
- Identify underperforming categories or SKUs and recommend corrective measures.
- Collaborate with the sales team to promote high-margin or slow-moving inventory.
3. Cash Handling & Compliance
- Review and verify daily cash reports, POS system data, and bank deposit records to ensure cash accuracy.
- Ensure adherence to company policies related to cash management and financial transactions.
- Identify and report any discrepancies or irregularities in store-level transactions.
4. Customer Experience & Feedback
- Regularly evaluate customer satisfaction through direct feedback, surveys, and reviews.
- Analyze customer behavior to understand purchasing patterns and preferences.
- Work with store teams to implement improvements in service, layout, or product assortment based on feedback.
5. Continuous Improvement & Coordination
- Recommend and oversee store-level initiatives to improve sales, footfall, or customer retention.
- Liaise with internal departments such as merchandising, supply chain, and marketing to ensure operational efficiency.
- Conduct periodic audits and performance reviews of stores and frontline teams.
6. Franchise Relationship Management
- Maintain strong, proactive relationships with franchise partners to ensure alignment with brand standards and operational goals.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for franchisee queries, grievances, and issue resolution.
- Support franchisees in overcoming operational challenges and provide guidance for business growth.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- 4–6 years of hands-on experience in retail operations, business development, or multi-store/franchise management.
- Strong understanding of inventory systems, sales analytics, and customer behavior.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP/POS systems, and retail dashboard tools.
- Ability to travel between store locations and work flexible hours when required.
