K&V Bulgarian Market in Houston, TX is looking for one store clerk to join our 4 person strong team. We are located on 4620 Cypress Creek Pkwy. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, punctual, and engaged.
Job Title: Store Clerk
Position Summary:
The Store Clerk is responsible for providing excellent customer service, maintaining a clean and organized store environment, and assisting with daily store operations. This role includes handling merchandise, processing transactions, and ensuring customers have a positive shopping experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet customers and provide friendly, helpful service.
Answer questions and assist customers in locating products.
Operate cash register and handle payments accurately.
Stock shelves, rotate inventory, and maintain product displays.
Monitor product levels and notify management of low or out-of-stock items.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sales floor, checkout area, and storage spaces.
Follow company policies regarding safety, security, and loss prevention.
Assist with receiving, unpacking, and pricing shipments.
Perform other duties as assigned by the store manager.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Previous retail or customer service experience is a plus but not required.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Basic math skills and ability to handle cash transactions.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 40 lbs, and perform repetitive tasks.
Schedule & Work Environment:
Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Fast-paced retail environment with customer interaction throughout the shift.
