Restaurant Manager
A restaurant manager is the one who organizes and manages almost every operation and implement standards to keep up in a restaurant, ensuring utmost guest satisfaction regarding the services offered. He undertakes the responsibilities of his subordinates in the aspects of recruiting, selecting, training, appraising and terminating, with the motive of promoting and not compromising the teamwork in the department.
Duties and Responsibilities
· Greeting and fostering positive guest relations.
· Taking initiatives in resolving issues and prospering communication tactics in dealing with both colleagues and the guests.
· Delivering products and services with remarkable professionalism
· Coordinating with the Front and Back- house operations
· Taking Reservations and making necessary arrangements as per guest’s requirements.
· Training, counseling, supervising and managing F&B staffs
· Enquiring for further issues in the workspace, reporting the same to the management and undertake essential and immediate steps to overcome the same.
· Maintaining optimized workflow and productivity
· Researching dishes and planning menus
· Monitoring product quality and handling vendors
· Controlling operational cost and Promoting efficiency
· Maintain report with all departments
· Ensure to fill any communication gap between departments in real-time
· Administering payroll and maintaining records of sales and cash receipts including related areas of accounting, budgeting, credit policies, and banking methods
· Monitor throughout the kitchen and F&B area and scrutinize every operation
· Ascertain that the established food quality and service standards are met on day-to-day basis.
· Give guidance toward improvement and make necessary adjustments for consistency.
· Control equipment costs (minimizing loss and misuse).
· Ensure par stock levels are maintained by calculating inventory.
· Ensure that all standards and hotel cash handling procedures are met.
· Maintain cleanliness of all outlets-restaurant, lounge, service areas, room service, floor landing for room service trays and outlet staff coolers.
· Responding to customer and community interests to develop marketing and advertising.
