Job description

1. JOB ROLEThe role of Store Manager is to ensure that the general operations of the store is running smoothly, cleanlyand effectively and that the store meets the budgeted target.

2. RESPONSIBILITIESThe Store Manager is responsible for:

Ø Sales and Customer Relation:-· Adhering to the set goals and monitors the individual financial performance and the overall storeperformance.· Improving team’s sense of business, efficiency and ability to work independently.· Suggesting proposal and implements corrective actions to boost business.· Scheduling and verifying various duties.· Implementing compliance of operating procedures, standards and guidelines for central services (Sales,Merchandising, Purchasing, Marketing, Human Resources, etc.) on a day-to-day basis.

Ø Activity Management:-· Defining budget forecasts in collaboration with concerned personnel· Optimizing and managing store operating accounts to implement budget.· Establishing and boosting the growth of designated perimeter.· Analyzing business indicators and set-up corrective actions for proper operation.· Enforcing all trade regulations.· Ensuring safety compliance in all related procedures.

Ø Operation Management:-· Monitoring employees based on objective criteria and tracking the work performance.· Recruiting, integrating and supporting employees to develop their skills.· Conducting transparent communications and exhibiting managerial courage.

3 ROLE CRITERIA

3.1 Skills· Ability to lead and motivate the team.· Excellent communication and ‘people’ skill.· Ability to work under pressure and handle challenging situations.· Must be able to thrive in a fast-pace setting. · Confidence drive and enthusiasm. · Decision making ability and sense of responsibility. · Ability to understand and analyze sales figure

3.2 Experience: Should have at least 3 years of experience in the role of Store Manager/ Assistant store manager in retail sector.

3.3 Training: Full training will be provided for this role including general induction training and on the job training will be provided.

3.4 Education Qualification: A bachelors or College degree in Business Studies/ Administration/ Management or equivalent.

3.5 Language: Effective verbal and written communication skills are required for the role.

4 MONITORING AND MEASUREMENT: The role will be assessed on a regular basis through the following: · Business Management · Inventory Management · Sales & gross margin · Footfalls against basket value

5 CAREER PATH: Successful demonstration of competence in the role of Store Manager will allow the employee to be considered for promotion to the next level within the organizational structure.
