Summary:
The Plant & Tools Controller plays a crucial role in the building and construction industry by overseeing the management and maintenance of plant and tools within our operations in Levin, Manawatu. This permanent, full-time position is essential for ensuring that all equipment is efficiently utilised and maintained, contributing to the overall productivity and safety of our projects.
Responsibilities:
Maintaining a clean, safe, and well-organised yard
Issuing, tracking, and receiving tools and equipment to and from site
Managing stock levels and conducting regular inventory checks
Coordinating with the team to ensure materials and equipment are where they need to be
Running local deliveries and pickups using a company vehicle
Assisting with loading and unloading of materials
Identifying damaged or missing items and reporting accordingly
Skills:
Previous experience in a yard, warehouse, or construction environment (preferred)
Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills
Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in all conditions
A current, clean driver's licence (Class 1 minimum; forklift licence a bonus)
Good communication skills and a team-first attitude
Ability to work independently and use initiative
