THE ROLE
As a Storeperson, you will be responsible for ensuring all orders are created and delivered in a timely manner and to ensure accuracy of on-site stores is well-maintained. Records and stock management is a key focus of this role along with scanning and goods receipting. The role is also responsible for assisting with loading and loading of trucks as required successful candidate.
Key Accountabilities, not limited to are as follows:
Independently ensure service delivery from ordering a product (scanning) to its delivery to the client; this includes the search for alternatives if the desired product is on backorder or unavailable.
Maintain the day-to day accuracy of onsite stores: this involves regular stock control, reordering stock according to the agreed maximum level and issuing stock to clients.
Liaise with department heads to set bin levels in main stores and in the storage rooms of wards and theatres.
Assist with the loading and un-loading of trucks; ensure that couriers leave with the correctly signed paperwork.
Deliver goods to wards and theatres following the agreed time schedule; obtain signed confirmation from wards.
Goods-receipt incoming goods; query discrepancies between purchase order and delivery docket immediately.
Abide by WHS regulations and participate in HICMR, infection control and departmental quality activities.

Strong attention to detail
Basic data entry skills and ability to work autonomously
Ability to communicate in a confident, competent and courteous manner

Demonstrated competence in manual handling with an awareness of work, health and safety issues
Experience in a health environment is highly desired
Proven experience working with Electronic Procurement Systems
Proven experience working with a scanner devices
Knowledge of ward and theatres consumables (desired)
Ability to manage time and resources to complete tasks with accuracy
Effective team player and ability to work in collaboration with others
Maintains a helpful and courteous manner
