We have a Storeperson position available at our shipyard in Balmain, this would suit someone with an energetic customer friendly personality. No two day is the same in this role!
Utilise your great skills and knowledge in managing stock inventory and assisting our internal and external customers in a timely and efficient manner.
This includes receipt and issue of the stock items, moving stock, controlling and managing stock and non-stock items, and maintaining the records in the computerised store system. This role will require a strong customer service approach when completing tasks. You will also have general duties to maintain a clean and safe environment in the stores of the shipyard. The role is essential for the operation of the Balmain Shipyard, and it is a stable full-time role in a friendly store team.
What you bring
To be successful in this role, ideally, you have experience:
in a store role, receiving, dispatching and handling packing goods, stocking shelves safely, picking goods from shelves and recording movement, moving pallets using a forklift, knowledge and skills using computer-based systems such as Hexagon and Microsoft Office suites.
sound oral and written communication
the ability to work within a team environment with a customer service focus
a forklift license or willingness to obtain one will be highly regarded
current drivers licence
This role will suit someone with great attention to detail, love process improvements and systems and thrives in being able to support a team that works in a fast-paced environment.
