Casual Role - 10-15 Hours a week moving to 20 hours over Winter.
Based in South Australia's beautiful Barossa Valley region, iconic premium food manufacturer, Maggie Beer Products (MBP) produces gourmet pates, fruit pastes, salad dressings, ice cream syrups and many other premium products.
We are passionate about what we do, and we would love to welcome a proactive and enthusiastic Store Person to join the dynamic team working across our Tanunda and Nuriootpa sites.
This role is integral to the efficient operations of our food manufacturing facility in Tanunda, South Australia. It is a role working with finished products for our ambient dispatches to national DC’s.
Reporting to the Logistics Manager your responsibilities will include the following:
Ensuring goods received into the facility and goods dispatched are accurately received with the correct quantity, items, temperature and expiry date
Communicating effectively with production personnel and the team leaders
Accurate picking and packing
Identifying any stock issues or variances and investigate accordingly
Responsibility for reporting damages of stock where necessary
Performing regular temperature checks to ensure food safety
Stock preparation to be done according to HACCP processes
Accurate record keeping of traceability of product, utilising our ERP system
Stock rotation and MLOR product control
Receival and dispatch of raw and finished goods
Truck loading and unloading using a forklift
Completing cyclic stocktakes
Identifying and reporting of short coded stock
To be successful in this role you will:
Have at least 2 years’ experience in a pick and pack role
Demonstrate good Numeracy and literacy skills
Show a great can-do attitude and willingness to learn
Recognise the importance of working together as a team
Enjoy working in fast paced environment as a team and individually
Be physically fit and strong
Demonstrate excellent organisational, communication, and time management
Have a high level of attention to detail
Have a current forklift license
Ideally understand and have experience in a food manufacturing warehouse
