About the role:
We have a short‑term opportunity available at our busy service counter, supporting our workshops and wider team.
This is a hands‑on role suited to someone reliable, motivated, and keen to gain experience in an engineering and workshop environment. You'll assist with day to day stores and service counter activities, helping ensure work runs smoothly and efficiently.
Training and support will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
Act as the first point of contact at the service counter, handling requests with friendly service
Assist with coordinating work orders to support workshop workflow
Help manage goods inwards and outwards, including loading and unloading freight
Check and receipt incoming goods and report any discrepancies
Assist with basic stock control, ordering support, and stock takes
Maintain a tidy and organised stores and counter area
Follow all health and safety procedures
Skills & Experience
Previous experience in a warehouse, stores, or service counter role is helpful but not essential
Forklift licence or experience preferred
Comfortable using computers
Dangerous Goods certification beneficial but not required
Good organisational skills and attention to detail
Strong communication skills and a positive, can‑do attitude
Reliable, punctual, and able to work both independently and as part of a team
Additional Information
This is a fixed‑term role for approximately 6 weeks, with potential to extend depending on business needs
