About the Role
We are seeking a Strategic Cost Accountant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing efficient product cost structures, providing cost analysis data, and ensuring timely preparation of cost-related MIS reports.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop product cost structures using cost sheets
• Provide cost analysis data to support manufacturing and product development decisions
• Prepare cost-related MIS reports vis-a-vis targets/standards
• Capture and analyze data related to machine capacity utilization, downtime, wastage, maintenance time/cost
• Identify and introduce effective monitoring systems for internal controls, cost-effective measures, and credit control systems
• Responsible for Cost Audit of the business vertical
• Work closely with supply-chain team and inventory management team to set up robust processes and procedures in relation to inventory management
• Develop policies and internal controls for all cost accounting and inventory activities
• Maintain strict control over cost budgets and escalate deviations with actuals on a monthly basis
• Take initiative for Cost Reduction drives across the vertical
• Contribute to Annual Operating Plans and Rolling Forecasts to embed cost controls in the budgeting process
Qualifications and Skills:
To be successful in this role, you should have:
• CMA qualification
• Hands-on experience in SAP
• Good experience in product costing, analysis, and reporting
• Exposure to Cost Audit as per statute
• Proficiency in Windows applications (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint)
• Strong analytical and presentation skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication
Preferred Skills:
• Experience in making PowerPoint presentations to the core team
• Well-versed with MIS reporting, Forecasting/Outlook, Credit & Cost Control mechanism
• Exposure to preparation of Annual Operating Plan activity for a business vertical
• Experience in driving cost reduction programs and exposed to review of Management and Operational cost Reports
• Strong Analytical Ability and presentation skills
• Worked in Cross-functional environment and collaboration thereon
