A bit about the role :
As a Full Stack Engineer, you'll be a core member of a high-performing team shaping Immutable's next generation of player onboarding, discovery, and engagement products.
We're building MarTech infrastructure that helps games launch and scale successfully and we're doing it with an AI-native approach. In this role, you'll bring strong full stack foundations across backend architecture and frontend delivery, while actively leveraging LLMs to accelerate both your own workflows and the products you build.
You'll work closely with Product, Design, Data, and our founders, contributing not just to execution, but to the strategic decisions that define how we grow. Owning tooling, tech, and architecture with the freedom to move fast and focus on impact. We work in small, collaborative squads (5 to 7 engineers), often pairing or mobbing on tasks.
This opportunity is true product engineering. You’ll have a real seat at the table to help shape what we build. You don’t need Web3 experience, just strong engineering skills, a team-first mindset, and a curiosity for the future of audience engagement.
You'll Be Empowered To :
Work across Immutable Play- end-to-end platform (play.immutable.com)
Focus on client-side components of Play, especially TypeScript, UI components
Participate in team planning and product design sessions
Help estimate and prioritise proposed features
Work in an experimental environment, learning from customer feedback and iterating on products
Tech Stack: Work across a range of bleeding-edge technologies: Typescript, React, Next.js, Go, Node.js, AWS Lambda, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, Microservices, Event Oriented Systems, Terraform, Use Claude, Cursor, the AI IDE to assist your productivity
Experience or deep interest in taking active part in setting product direction for the team
Engage with multiple diverse stakeholders, up to and including the Founders, to arrive at the best product decisions
Work closely collaborating with your team members to ensure operational excellence for the services your team owns
Continually work with your team to iterate on ways of working
We'd Love You To Bring :
6 + Full-Stack Software Engineering experience with extensive exposure to a product development environment
You are comfortable using AI tools to assist developments, Passionate about AI technology with a strong understanding AI design principles
Proactive LLM usage, clear articulation of where AI meaningfully improves workflows and product. Not surface-level.
Rapid prototype, passionate about delivering outstanding User Experience
Think like a Product Engineer with solid product first approach
Worked in MarTech space; user segmentation, lifecycle journeys, automation, personalisation
A passion for delivering fantastic products to users with care and empathy
Extensive front-end experience with TypeScript and React is a must
Excellent back-end experience with Typescript (bonus for having Golang)
Strong System Design thinking that fulfils both user and business requirements
Testing client-side applications at different levels (unit, component, app)
Solid verbal and written communication skills, allowing you to communicate effectively across a range of stakeholders
The ability to teach best practices to junior team members
Have worked in a start-up or high-growth tech environment, where you’ve worn multiple hats and thrived in ambiguity

AdTech data-driven advertising, real-time auctions, attribution
GameTech; player systems, rewards, LiveOps, game economies
Exposure to back-end engineering with AWS is highly desirable
Familiarity with blockchain technologies or Web3 technologies (e.g. experience with Ethereum, smart contracts, or crypto wallets)
