About the role:
My client is looking for a Structural Technician to join a growing design consultancy and provide ongoing technical design support to a range of clients in the UK with ongoing work available and excellent development opportunities for the right individual. As a Structural Technician, you will be working on a range of residential, commercial and education projects and should be able to demonstrate experience in completing design on projects in these sectors. Previous experience working with reinforced concrete requirements on mid/high-rise residential projects is desired. Within the role of a Structural Technician, it will be essential for the chosen individual to complete drawings in line with the engineer’s instructions, and your input and contribution to the team are viewed as essential in the continued development of the business.
About you:
Candidates should have a minimum of 2 years of experience working for UK-based design consultancies, and a background working on similar projects is desired in order to ensure a close match to the existing and upcoming workload. In addition to having a confident, commercial and professional outlook you should have:
• BTEC (or equivalent) in Engineering
• Minimum of 2 years UK based experience
• Exposure to working on residential projects
• Strong analytical, communication and technical design skills
• Excellent communication skills in both written and spoken English
Software required:
• AutoCAD
• Revit
