LIBRARY MANAGER
FULL-TIME, PERMANENT
Cranbrook School is seeking an outstanding candidate with an interest in libraries in an
educational setting to join our Senior School team.
ABOUT THE POSITION
This is a full-time position based at the Senior School campus in Bellevue Hill.
Responsibilities of the Library Manager include the provision of a range of library and
information services and assisting in creating a pleasant and inviting environment for
students. Tasks span a range of library activities including collection maintenance, resources
development, equipment and materials handling, supervision of students, and supporting
students with research skills.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to be at the forefront of educational technology,
operating and maintaining a variety of digital platforms to deliver library services and
resources. This includes emerging technologies such as virtual reality, augmented reality, and
AI-based learning tools.

SELECTION CRITERIA
— Exceptional written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
— High level organisation and time management skills
— A passion for learning and an interest in emerging technologies
— Knowledge of library systems and processes will be highly regarded
— A level of mobility that supports the ability to respond to a first aid / behavioural
incident
— Strong physical, mental and emotional health to deal with the required demands and
responsibilities of the role
— Current First Aid and CPR qualifications
— A firm commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
— A demonstrated understanding of child safety and appropriate behaviours when
engaging with children.
