The Events and Experiences Co-op will work closely with the Event Producing and Strategy and Operations teams in the Events and Experiences department at Sun Life. The candidate would work a combination of remote days and have support in-person for onsite events in our key venues and local offsite events. Incumbent will gain valuable hands-on corporate event planning experience in a variety projects. The role will include aspects of logistics, reporting, presentation preparation, vendor coordination, sourcing and general support of activities related to the internal, employee and client facing events that are on-site/off-site/virtual. The Co-op will be a valuable member of the E&EX team and will collaborate closely with all steams within E&EX in the seamless delivery of business partners events.
This opportunity is available to students with a May 2026 or later graduation date.
Key Accountabilities:
Research and recommendations for venues, gifting, entertainment, and guest speaker options that meet the needs of specific events
Support registration
Assist with Cvent reporting, data, and analytics to measure the ROI of event
Support the hotel contract database for Toronto, Waterloo, and Montreal
Support the creation floor plans, name badges, welcome packages, special gifts etc.
Research new vendors and services to offer as recommended partners.
For assigned events, detailing business partner meeting minutes
Attendee coordination support
Preferred skills
Interest, exposure, education in Events Management
Strong communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PPT)
Ability to build strong business relationships to develop and execute creative and innovative events
Knowledge of meeting and event planning and virtual event and meeting management
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
Self-motivated with ability to work in a team environment
Experience with Event Management Tools
Previous work experience working in events is an asset

The Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted for. The Base Pay which you will be considered for will vary depending on the Campus program you are selected for.
