Studio Coordinator (Performing Arts Academy Admin)

💰 $3,200 - $5,120 (Est.) 📍 Lake Forest ⏰ Part Time 🕐 6 days ago

Job Description

LoMastro Performing Arts Academy is seeking a proactive, highly organized, and team-oriented individual with a positive outlook and strong communication skills to join our team as a Studio Coordinator.

This full-time, salaried role plays a key part in the daily operations of our vibrant and mission-driven dance and performing arts studio. The Studio Coordinator serves as the first point of contact for families and staff while managing a variety of administrative and operational responsibilities, including enrollment, customer service, boutique oversight, costume coordination, and support for performances and events.

This role is best suited for someone who enjoys frequently switching between customer interaction, problem-solving, and project work throughout the day. The Studio Coordinator shifts between front-facing customer service and focused administrative work, often in quick succession. Success in this role requires strong prioritization, comfort with rapid context switching, and the ability to independently manage time and attention. While focused work time is available, candidates must be comfortable proactively creating and protecting that time within a dynamic, front-facing environment.

We’re looking for someone who enjoys following systems, solving problems, and interacting with children and families in a joyful, fast-paced environment. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact while working in a collaborative and artistic setting.

Key Responsibilities:

Serve as the welcoming face of the studio for all students, families, and visitors
Coordinate student enrollment, absences, make-up scheduling, and withdrawals
Respond to inquiries and guide families through our programs using established systems
Manage front desk and boutique operations, including uniform sales and inventory
Oversee costume measurements, ordering, tracking, and distribution
Provide administrative support for recitals, performances, special events, and summer camps
Assist with tasks related to competitions, the Apprentice Teacher Program (LAT), birthday parties, and more
Maintain clean, safe, and welcoming common spaces
Communicate clearly and professionally with leadership, faculty, and families
Support substitute scheduling and teacher absence management
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience preferred
Strong organizational, interpersonal, and customer service skills
Ability to manage frequent interruptions, switch between customer-facing interactions and detailed administrative work, and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
Self-starter with the ability to take initiative and follow through
Comfortable using digital tools such as Google Workspace; experience with Studio Director, Studio Hub, or similar platforms is a plus
Background in dance, education, or the performing arts industry is a plus
Must enjoy working with children and families
Ability to stay calm and focused during high-volume periods such as recitals and the start of new sessions
Comfortable asking questions, seeking clarification, and communicating early when support or reprioritization is needed
Schedule:

Schedule:
School Year Option: Late August–early June, Tuesday–Friday 9:00 AM–5:00 PM, Saturdays Saturday 8:45 AM–3:45 PM during the school year
