Job Description:
Cambridge English Academy is currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Study Abroad Counselor to join our team. As a Study Abroad Counselor, you will play a crucial role in guiding and supporting students throughout their journey to study abroad. You will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on their lives by providing valuable insights, advice, and assistance.
Responsibilities:
· Provide comprehensive counseling services to students interested in studying abroad, ensuring they have a smooth and successful application process.
· Offer guidance on course selection, considering students' academic backgrounds, interests, and career goals, as well as matching their aspirations with suitable study abroad programs and destinations.
· Assist students in understanding the application procedures, including preparing the necessary documents, completing forms, and meeting deadlines.
· Advise students on visa requirements, ensuring they have the necessary documentation and providing support throughout the visa application process.
· Inform students about available scholarships, grants, and financial aid opportunities, helping them explore funding options and make informed decisions.
· Conduct one-on-one counseling sessions with students, addressing their concerns, answering questions, and offering personalized guidance based on their individual circumstances.
· Stay updated on the latest trends and developments in study abroad programs, scholarship opportunities, and visa regulations to provide accurate and up-to-date information to students.
· Collaborate with educational institutions and partner organizations to strengthen relationships, expand study abroad opportunities, and ensure the best possible experiences for our students.
· Maintain detailed records and documentation of student interactions, applications, and progress, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy of information.
· Participate in workshops, seminars, and training sessions to enhance counseling skills and stay informed about industry best practices.
Requirements:
· Bachelor's degree in any field
· Previous experience in study abroad counseling is preferred but not required. Beginners with a strong interest in the field are welcome to apply.
· Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with a diverse range of students, parents, and educational institutions.
· Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport, establish trust, and empathize with students' aspirations and concerns.
· Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks and prioritize accordingly.
· Proficiency in using computer applications, including MS Office.
· Knowledge of foreign languages is a plus, as it can facilitate effective communication with international students.
· A positive and enthusiastic attitude, with a genuine passion for helping students achieve their study abroad goals.
