Position: Part-Time Style Advisor

Role Overview:
We are seeking an authentic, friendly, motivated Part‑Time Style Advisor to join our team in Inglewood, Calgary, AB. This role is ideal for someone who loves fashion, delivers excellent customer service, and thrives in a purpose‑driven business. You’ll be the brand ambassador outgoing, curious, and focused on relationship building creating opportunities for yourself and the store. Flexible hours and potential to grow into additional responsibilities. Must already have an established network or client book; if you don’t, please do not apply. There are significant growth opportunities along with the immediate potential for Full-Time (based on performance).
The Ideal Candidate: Outgoing, confident, a people person, proactive in curating stylish full outfits from head to toe. Playful, humble, focused on building long-term client relationships with empathy, asking thoughtful questions in order to understand each clients tastes, needs, and wants. Analytical, attentive to details, able to drive a sale, and showcase pieces that truly suit the client. Must have an existing strong local network and / or client book. A fierce aptitude to hunt for new business through social events, referrals, and able to think outside the box. Bonus points for strong social media followings.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver best in-class customer service by engaging with clients, offering styling advice, and ultimately converting into sales effortlessly.
• Assist clients in finding products that suit their needs and preferences.
• Achieve all personal sales goals and contribute to store sales targets.
• Develop rapport with clients to build long-term relationships driving repeat business.
• Support team members with daily store operations, including stock replenishment and visual presentation.
• Promote Genuine Design’s story, emphasizing sustainability, quality, and value.
• Assist with basic marketing efforts, such as handing out business cards or participating in local events, and some product modelling.
• Maintain a clean and inviting store environment.
• Follow loss prevention and store policies diligently.
Qualifications:
• A genuine, friendly, approachable, passionate about fashion, and helping people dress better.
• Previous luxury retail sales experience preferred (2+ years).
• Excellent professionalism, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Existing local Calgary network or client book (requirement).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of designers, brands, and fashion trends is recommended.
• Strong organizational skills and reliable time management.
• High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education or fashion-related training is an asset.
• Availability working weekends is a requirement and weekdays with some flexibility.
• Must be fully fluent and grammatically correct in English.
• An overall mindset looking to constantly grow, learn, and be open to feedback!
