Role Description
This is a full-time on-site Sub Editor role based in Delhi, India. The Sub Editor will be responsible for editing and proofreading articles, ensuring the quality and accuracy of published content. Additional responsibilities include conducting in-depth research to support articles, refining text to align with the magazine's style and tone, and collaborating with writers and other editorial team members to produce insightful and high-quality content. Adherence to deadlines and maintaining the editorial standards of Urban Update will be a core part of the role.
Qualifications
• Experience with Writing, Editing, Proofreading, and attention to detail in content quality
• Proficiency in Writing and creating high-quality and engaging content
• Knowledge of New Media trends and familiarity with digital platforms
• Strong Research skills to gather accurate and reliable information
• Clear communication and collaboration abilities
• Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, English, or a related field
• Prior experience as a sub editor or similar editorial role is an advantage
