Job Description:

Parsons is seeking an Administrative Assistant currently enrolled in college or university and is looking for a 4 month work term. The position is based in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories, and the student will work both in the Parsons Yellowknife office and at the Giant Mine site. This opportunity is open to all Indigenous Yellowknife and Tlicho area students.

Responsibilities:

Various administrative tasks including, clerical, data entry, filing records and documents, assisting with office inventory and ordering required office supplies and items, delivering various items from the Parsons office to the Giant Mine site via the shuttle service.
Attending meetings and recording and preparing meeting minutes for review by the technical personnel prior to distribution.
Following corporate document control processes.

Qualifications:

Be of Indigenous ancestry.
Be a resident of Behchoko, Dettah, Gameti, N’Dilo, Wekweti, Whati, or Yellowknife.
Be accepted and starting classes in fall 2025.
Must be enrolled in a recognized post-secondary institution and completed at least 4 months of post-secondary education.
Experience and proficient with Microsoft office suite.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
