About this position
As the CoMade Supervisor for this project, you’ll play a key role on site leading electrical construction activities from the front and keeping teams moving safely and efficiently. You’ll coordinate daily works, provide clear direction to crews and contractors, and ensure all electrical installations are delivered to a high standard, on time and within budget. Safety is non‑negotiable, and you’ll champion compliance with South Australian WHS legislation, site safety systems, and quality and environmental requirements while maintaining strong productivity and program outcomes. Some of your responsibilities will include:
Site Supervision & Coordination
Supervise daily construction activities and ensure work is completed in accordance with approved plans, specifications, and schedules.
Coordinate subcontractors, trades, suppliers, and site personnel to ensure efficient workflow.
Work Health & Safety (WHS)
Ensure compliance with the Work Health and Safety Act 2012 (SA) and Work Health and Safety Regulations 2012 (SA).
Assist with ensuring compliance with Hansen Yuncken’s WHS Procedures and HYer Standards which are available on the Hansen Yuncken public platform, www.hyworkzone.com.au
Enforce site-specific WHS plans, Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS), and risk assessments.
Conduct daily pre-start meetings, toolbox talks, and safety meetings.
Supervise and authorise high-risk work activities including:
Hot works
Working at heights
Lifting operations and crane activities
Electrical isolation and lock-out/tag-out procedures.
Ensure incidents, near misses, and hazards are reported and investigated in accordance with company and legislative requirements.
Promote strong safety leadership and a “stop work” culture.
Quality & Compliance
Ensure all works comply with:
The Scope of Work
Relevant Australian Standards
Client engineering standards and specifications
Communication & Leadership
Provide clear direction and leadership to site workers and subcontractors.
Act as the primary point of contact on site for operational matters.
Liaise closely with Project Management, Engineering, HSE, Quality, and Commissioning teams.
How you can support CoMade
Trade qualification or relevant construction qualification (Certificate IV in Building and Construction or equivalent).
5+ years’ experience supervising works on industrial or heavy construction projects.
White Card (General Construction Induction).
High Risk Work Licenses relevant to role (e.g. dogging, rigging – desirable).
Current driver’s license.
First Aid certification (preferred).
