The Supervisor, Electrical Balance of Plant (EBoP) is responsible for maintaining electrical equipment, providing high-voltage (HV) operational support, managing handover processes, ensuring site readiness, and upholding compliance with EBoP contractual obligations.
This is a site-based role :
Location: Golden Plains WF

Responsibilities

EBoP Maintenance & Spare Parts management:

Coordinate and execute all EBoP equipment maintenance (routine & Outage) planning, execution, and reporting.
Collaborate with Maintenance Planner in developing weekly maintenance plan and schedule.
Identify root causes of equipment failures and collaborate with the Engineering Team in conducting root cause analysis when required.
Facilitate smooth handover processes and oversee project gates specific to HV operations and EBoP.
Lead Maintenance readiness for acquired projects and sites.
Assist is identification of critical spare parts and manage onsite spare parts as required. High Voltage (HV) Operations
Act as the High Voltage Responsible Officer (HVRO) for designated regions.
Coordinate and execute HV switching operations.
Lead HV Readiness for acquired projects and sites.
Conduct site walkdowns, produce punch lists, and set up sites for HV operations.

Compliance & Safety
Ensure adherence to safety protocols and champion a strong safety culture in all work activities.
Ensure compliance with regulatory and contractual requirements, working with the Grid, SCADA, Wind Turbine, and other relevant teams.
Assist in selecting and maintaining PPE and HV operational gear.
Ensure that engineering change management is recorded and implemented appropriately.

Stakeholder Collaboration & Support
Provide technical guidance to clients and internal teams to ensure high-quality service delivery.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders (CRM, Sales, Procurement) through the EBoP representative.
Support the CRM team in responding to customer queries.
Assist the Procurement team in acquiring services and spare parts.

Contract & Vendor Management
Assist in the request for quote (RFQ) process and evaluate electrical subcontractor eligibility.
Manage and supervise internal resources and subcontractors for EBoP-related operations.
Conduct timely reviews of service providers' reports/ITRs and prepare comprehensive Vestas EBoP service reports.

Training & Continuous Improvement
Develop HV Operators as delegated.
Audit and ensure training records for site HV operators are up to date.
Identify and suggest new opportunities within the EBoP maintenance services market.

Administrative & Miscellaneous Tasks
Ensure timely closure of service orders and service requests.
Ensure timely submission of expense reports.
Provide ad hoc support to other regions as required.

Qualifications
A-Grade Electrician certification (Essential).
Experienced HV Operator.
Diploma qualification (Desirable).
Minimum of 10 years' experience in HV operations and maintenance.

Competencies

Safety Focus:
Proactively mitigate risks and ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations.
Advanced knowledge of HV equipment access, switching instructions, and electrical access authority procedures.

Technical Expertise:
Extensive knowledge of HV Primary equipment (Substation & Reticulation) and Secondary systems, including protection relays and metering.
Strong understanding of operation, maintenance, commissioning, and asset management practices.
Familiarity with wind turbine, solar, and battery storage systems.

Problem Solving & Systematic Approach:
Ability to analyze issues, identify root causes, and develop effective solutions.
Work methodically and efficiently within structured frameworks.

Supervisory & Communication Skills:
Experience supervising subcontractors and coordinating site-based technicians.
Strong report-writing skills.
Ability to perform under high-pressure environments and manage multiple priorities.
Excellent verbal and written communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.
Regulatory Compliance & Risk Awareness:
Strong knowledge of state regulations and compliance requirements.
Awareness of operational risks and proactive risk management strategies.
