ContainerWorld’s Information Technology infrastructure consists of industry leading equipment and professionals. The core of our system utilizes an Oracle ERP application operating across our complete Cisco communications network with Dell EMC compute and storage, headquartered in our redundant and environmentally monitored data center. Leveraging these systems is our in-house team of I.T. professionals including software developers, database administrators, projects managers, business analysts and infrastructure technicians.

Job Title/Hours:

Supervisor, Infrastructure & Support Services Mondays to Fridays 8:00am to 4:30pm – Full Time

Position Overview:

The Infrastructure & Support Services Supervisor shall report to Director, Strategy & Technology. Over look the IT team, supporting the overall systems infrastructure of the company. This includes the creation of solutions to provide support to other operations within the company and administration of network, compute, and storage hardware and software.

Main Duties:

Administer operating systems for physical and virtual servers

Daily administration of Windows servers, Cent OS, and Oracle Linux

Backup management and reporting

Security patching and application heath support

Active directory moves, adds, changes

Administer physical infrastructure hardware and virtual clusters

Racking, cabling, and implementation of hardware platforms

Monitoring and event alert management for hardware, ESXi, KVM and environmental systems

Patching and firmware updates

Monitor and assist with disaster recovery solutions, incident response planning, and SOPs

Assist in DR continuous improvements and readiness testing

Maintain technical documents and support knowledge base

Monitor cyber security platforms and liaise with network and security partners

Assist with overflow and relief support for helpdesk support services

End point installation and trouble shooting

Microsoft 365 support

Assist and liaise with application support teams

Others: Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Strong working knowledge of vSphere, Linux and Windows O/S, Windows Active Directory and Microsoft 365

Familiarity with Cisco/ Meraki networking

Ability to lift server/UPS rack equipment

Available for afterhours on-call support

Experienced in providing tier 1 support for user end points
