The Supervisor of Court Processing is a professional role within the Court Processing Division of the Court
Services Department in the Clerk of the Circuit Court and County Comptroller’s Office. The Supervisor of
Court Processing supervises individual and unit assignments, delivers training to maintain compliance,
mitigation risk, and ensures that processes adhere to quality standards by actively monitoring workflows and
addressing potential issues promptly.
The Supervisor of Court Processing is responsible for clearly communicating directives, emphasizing the
importance of compliance with approved policies and procedures. Additionally, this role contributes to the
review and maintenance of these policies, ensuring they effective, and recommends changes to enhance
operational efficiency and compliance. In addition, this role ensures compliance with confidentiality rules and
laws by accurately distinguishing between public and nonpublic records.
The Supervisor of Court Processing demonstrates a thorough understanding of court document processing,
plays a key role in fostering accountability and is committed to continuous improvement. Success in this role
requires strong technical and organizational expertise, a commitment to and adherence to high-quality service
standards, sound judgment, and demonstrates transparency in actions and decisions. The role also involves
delivering staff training, ensuring compliance with legal and procedural standards, and providing reporting and
executive administrative support. The Supervisor of Court Processing is expected to proactively identify and
resolve issues while driving innovation to ensure smooth and efficient processes.
The Supervisor of Court Processing ensures work is accurate, neat, and completed within department
performance standards. The role involves providing quantitative productivity and quality data for inclusion in
employee performance evaluations while fostering a collaborative work environment that encourages teamwork
and innovation. Presenting and promoting a professional image through appearance, preparation, demeanor,
and actions will earn the trust and credibility needed to be successful as a Supervisor of Court Processing.
