Supply Chain Accountant Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Supply Chain Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and supply chain management, with experience in financial analysis and process improvement.
• *Key Responsibilities:**
• Collaborate with the Accounting Manager to set and achieve financial and accounting goals specific to Supply Chain accounting operations.
• Review and ensure accuracy of accounting transactions related to supply chain operations, including imports, exports, and landed cost accounting across North American entities (USA, Canada & Mexico).
• *Improving Controls, Processes and Practices:**
• Lead the standardization and enhancement of accounting processes and internal controls for improved accuracy and efficiency.
• *Collaboration and Risk Management:**
• Work cross-functionally with operations, sales, supply chain, and IT teams to identify areas for improvement and implement productivity-increasing projects.
• Strong problem-solving capabilities and initiative in risk identification and mitigation.
• *Compliance and Qualifications:**
• Earn a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related fields.
• 5+ years of accounting experience, ideally with a focus on supply chain or logistics.
• Proficient in SAP and Microsoft Office Suite, with strong analytical and reconciliation skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively across functions.
