Job Title – Accounting Sr Analyst
About The Role
The purpose of this role is to support the transition and on-going delivery to meet the needs of the business/client at an agreed level of quality and turn-around time. The RTR Accounting team supports the controllership in the monthly general ledger processes.
What You’ll Do
• Balance Sheet reconciliations
• Allocations of costs
• Fixed Assets Maintenance, Acquisition, Disposal and Depreciation
• Review and preparation of General Ledger journals incl. Payroll
• Follow up on unreconciled transactions
• Month end close activities: account reconciliation, reporting, accruals
• Preparation of complete, accurate and timely financial reports in line with corporate and statutory reporting and audit requirements
• Documenting processes and procedures; preparation of internal accounting / reporting procedures, manuals and instructions
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders
• Supporting team in other accounting activities
What You'll Need
• Degree from a four-year college or university program with an emphasis in accounting, finance or related field required. A minimum of two years prior accounting, finance, or related experience.
• Requires in-depth knowledge of financial terms and principles.
• Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work well under pressure with a proactive approach to unusual occurrences.
• Attention to detail.
• High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office suite. Knowledge of PeopleSoft Financial is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills and problem-solving ability.
