The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background in electrical engineering, specifically within the lighting industry. This role is pivotal in driving efficiency, optimizing processes, and ensuring seamless coordination across the entire supply chain function.
Responsibilities
• Develop and execute strategic initiatives to streamline the supply chain process, encompassing procurement, production planning, inventory management, and logistics, to meet business objectives.
• Lead and mentor the supply chain team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including production, procurement, sales, and engineering, to align supply chain activities with product development and customer demand.
• Forge and nurture strategic partnerships with suppliers, negotiating contracts, pricing, and terms to ensure quality, cost-effective procurement of materials and components.
• Implement robust inventory management practices to optimize stock levels, reduce carrying costs, and meet customer delivery requirements.
• Oversee the implementation and enhancement of supply chain management systems and tools to enhance visibility, tracking, and reporting of key performance metrics.
• Analyze supply chain data and trends to identify opportunities for process enhancement, cost reduction, and operational efficiency improvements.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and best practices in supply chain management.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, market dynamics, and emerging technologies to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge in the lighting industry.
• Drive a culture of excellence, integrity, and accountability within the supply chain team and across the organization.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, preferably B.Tech in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in supply chain management, with a strong technical background in the lighting industry.
• Extensive knowledge of supply chain principles, processes, and best practices, with a proven track record of driving operational excellence and cost optimization.
• Exceptional leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire, motivate, and develop a high-performing team.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate across functions and levels of the organization.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to analyze complex data, derive insights, and make data-driven decisions.
• Proficiency in supply chain management software and tools, such as ERP systems, MRP systems, and data analytics platforms.
• Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and industry standards relevant to the lighting industry.
