The opportunity
In partnership with the ADF and the Commonwealth, Boeing Defence Australia (BDA) provides aircraft maintenance and upgrades, component maintenance solutions, technical support, mission-critical infrastructure support and training on some of the most capable surveillance, command, control, and combat platforms in the world.
BDA is looking for a Supply Chain Specialist who will join the Air Combat Electronic Attack (ACEA) Sustainment Program based at RAAF Base Amberley. This position will provide technical supply chain support to current and upcoming FA-18F Super Hornet & EA-18G Growler team upgrades, modifications, and critical weapon system projects resulting in the increased lethality and survivability of the platforms. The role will involve coordination of a number of stakeholders across the program and internationally to provide a high level of logistics planning to ensure timely and positive outcomes having a direct impact to the success of the capability.
Responsibilities:
Deliver commercial and Foreign Military Sales (FMS) benefits to stakeholders through effective supply chain methodologies
Provide logistics support for aircraft upgrade through all planned phases including concept development and production
Identify and resolve customer supply chain issues and discrepancies
Coordinate stakeholders across industry to deliver on supply chain strategies
Ensure import and export requirements are met and compliant with Global Trade Controls
Managing orders and delivery schedules
Conduct stock analysis, inventory and stock level assessments for program activities
Experience/Qualifications
Minimum 3 years logistics experience within an aerospace/aviation environment, defence experience will be highly regarded
Demonstrated experience in building and communicating logistics strategies, and the ability to adapt to schedule constraints
A good understanding of project management methodologies
Ability to work with a highly level of autonomy in a fast-paced environment
High level communication and negotiation skills to facilitate open interaction between customer support teams and key internal and external stakeholders
Demonstrate experience in identifying, establishing and promoting supply process improvements at the project level
Competent in the use of PC, MS Windows and MS Office suite
Aircraft supply support services knowledge, skills and experience
NV1 security clearance or ability to obtain
