About the Role:
We are looking for pricing and supplier specialists with rich experience in sourcing supply/pricing from shipping lines. The ideal candidate will have strong connections within shipping lines and possess good negotiation skills.
Responsibilities:
• Build and nurture relationships with sales teams of shipping lines.
• Negotiate & procure competitive rates from the shipping lines.
• Maintain a good coverage of rates for all the trade lanes in which the shipping line operates.
• Coordinate with sales teams/ops team of shipping lines in case of any operational issues/disputes & resolve in a timebound manner
Qualifications:
• Educational Background: Any graduate degree/ post graduate degree (Engineering Graduates or Diploma in Logistics or any related discipline would be an advantage) • Relevant work experience between 8-15 years’ experience in freight forwarding companies • Knowledge and certifications: Prior understanding of logistics, freight or supply chain industries and their capabilities would be an advantage
Skill Sets: • Negotiation and persuasion skills • B2B relationship and cultivation
