We are currently looking for a candidate based in Palmerston, Otago to work as a casual Support Worker. The candidate must be flexible and willing to travel to Oamaru, Palmerston, Hampden, and Waikouaiti.
What does a Support Worker do?
As part of a wider team, you will assist our clients to live as independently as possible, within their homes and community. You will help our clients to achieve their goals and reach their potential, through both practical and emotional support. Responsibilities can be varied and you will follow a care plan, which may include some or all of the below:
Meal preparation
Community outings and integration
Personal cares (showering, toileting etc)
Medication administration
Hoist and Manual handling
2 person assists is a must
Home management

Excellent communication skills
Healthcare qualifications are advantageous
Most positions require a full NZ drivers' licence and your own reliable transport
