Job description Community Support Worker

This role supports the Midland Region and is based in Hamilton.

This is a 24/7 hour, 365 day respite service with 3 shifts per day.

The purpose of the position is to work alongside disabled children and their families, create a fun, positive homely environment to nurture children’s needs on short breaks away from home.

The support provided will foster positive relationships between families, and those using the service, other CCS Disability Action staff and ensure a friendly and flexible service which meets the needs of those who use the service.

About you
You will enjoy working with children or in a team setting.

You will hold or being willing to attain a New Zealand Certificate in Health & Wellbeing - Level 2 (or above) and a relevant First Aid certification.

Experience in a service delivery organisation and understanding of the disability sector, would be an advantage.

Availability to work variety of rostered shift hours, able and willing to turn your hand to any task, not fazed by personal cares, and calm under pressure.
