This role is not suitable for most support workers.
We are looking for someone who can genuinely play music and use it to connect with people one-on-one in a band room environment.

What You’ll Actually Be Doing
Sitting in a room with one person and making music together
Holding a groove, keeping time, and adjusting to their ability
Creating a space where someone feels safe to participate
Letting the participant lead — even when it’s messy or slow
There is nowhere to hide in this role. No busywork, no scripts.
Non-Negotiable
You must be able to actually play at least one of:
Guitar
Bass guitar
Piano/keys
This means:
You can hold basic chord progressions without stopping
You can stay in time with another person
You don’t need to “figure it out on the spot” every session
If that’s not you, please don’t apply.
What Will Rule You Out
You “used to play” but haven’t touched an instrument in years
You tend to take over instead of supporting
You’re uncomfortable playing in front of one other person
What Will Make You a Great Fit
You can keep things simple and steady
You listen more than you play
You can adapt to different ability levels without frustration
You enjoy making music with people, not performing at them
Bonus Skills (Useful, Not Required)

Could you sit down today and comfortably play 3–4 songs with another person without stopping?
