Job Description
We are seeking experienced Support Workers and Enrolled Nurses to provide high-quality, person-centred care to a young woman with complex medical needs living at home with her family in Merriwa.
Our client is a 21-year-old young woman who lives with her parents and siblings. She has a wonderful sense of humour and often giggles during funny conversations or moments around her. Although she is non-verbal, she communicates through blinking and is learning to use eye gaze technology to express herself more independently.
Due to her complex diagnosis, she has limited voluntary movement and requires full assistance with all aspects of personal care and mobility.
About the Role
You will work closely with the client and her family in the home and community, providing compassionate, respectful, and skilled support to ensure her safety, comfort, and quality of life.
Essential Clinical Competencies
Applicants must have demonstrated experience in the following areas:
Dysphagia management
Medication management
Seizure management
Enteral feeding
Oxygen therapy
Suctioning (including deep oral suctioning)
Experience in some of the essential clinical competency areas is acceptable, with training and development opportunities available for other areas.
About You
Minimum 2 years' experience as a High Intensity Support Worker or Enrolled Nurse qualification
Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
Current First Aid & CPR
Experience supporting individuals with complex medical needs
Calm, confident, and compassionate approach
Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with families
Reliability and commitment to consistent care
