The Role Responsibilities

Job Summary

This role is responsible for driving the CCIB perf mgmt. change agenda. The role will have ownership for executing the CCIB change journey by collaborating with partners across finance change and transformation.

In addition to leading design and engagement across the breadth of change initiatives, the broad areas covered within this role include
• Strategic direction and oversight of creating standardised Performance Reporting through digital assets.
• Leading process change initiatives to enable standardised and optimised processes.

Business and Processes (Global Process Ownership)

Lead the CCIB Change Journey
• Deliver the strategic vision for CCIB reporting and analytics across client and non-client use cases, including integration with revised F reporting changes.
• Lead the change agenda for CCIB (excluding Product control) by working closely with CCIB Finance leadership and develop an execution roadmap along with the change journey owner.
• Deliver an ongoing digital reporting agenda to help automate manual reporting, create efficiency and drive a culture of self-service access through effective design and development of digital assets.
• Manage impact on CCIB performance mgmt. processes from other group initiatives e.g. moving to pure financial based reporting, FX Neutral Reporting, Cost Optimisation program, etc.
• Partner with CCIB Finance, Technology, ASPIRE stakeholders in delivery of the strategic solution and tool sets with minimal disruption to service delivery.
• Partner with Finance Data Strategy to define / set data standards, ownership, and lineage across critical data attributes.
• Lead process re-design to drive process standardisation and optimisation.

Forming and Executing the End State CCIB Client Reporting Vision
• Lead the journey of CCIB Client Reporting and Analytics end state that delivers standard, efficient, business performance requirements and flexibility to run scenarios for effective business partnering.
• Define reporting and data governance approach and execution through the delivery of systems and toolsets from Aspire. Partner with DQM and F-TOM teams to align with existing structures where applicable.

People and Talent
• To lead, inspire and motivate the P2P CCIB teams ensuring that everyone achieves their potential and that the team delivers its collective agenda.
• Set appropriate tone and expectations from their team and work in collaboration with risk and control partners.
• Ensure the provision of ongoing training and development of people and ensure that holders of all critical functions are suitably skilled and qualified for their roles ensuring that they have effective supervision in place to mitigate any risks.
• Set and monitor job descriptions and objectives for direct reports and provide feedback and rewards in line with their performance against those responsibilities and objectives.
• Employ, engage and retain high quality people, with succession planning for critical roles.
• Lead through example and build the appropriate culture and values.
• Responsibility to review team structure / capacity plans.

Risk Management
• Responsible for identifying, assessing, monitoring, controlling and mitigating risks to the Group relevant to CCIB Finance process.

Governance
• Awareness and understanding of the regulatory framework in which the Group operates, and the regulatory requirements and expectations relevant to the role.
• Responsible for delivering 'effective governance' in P2P CCIB Finance; capability to challenge fellow executives effectively.

Regulatory and Business Conduct
• Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group's Values and Code of Conduct.
• Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.
• Lead P2P CCIB Finance team to achieve the outcomes set out in the Bank's Conduct Principles: Fair Outcomes for Clients; Effective Financial Markets; Financial Crime Compliance; The Right Environment.
• Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.

Our Ideal Candidate
• 15 years of work experience in Business Finance, Client and Sales performance management and FP&A.
• Should have strong experience in implementation of strategic changes to performance management processes, systems and data.
• Should have delivered or been part of the core team to deliver a client performance solution or underlying calculation engines / tool sets.
• Should have strong knowledge and understanding of data management, data quality and its linkage in driving business performance management.
• Experience of working in a global organisation in a matrix environment.
