Job Role
This role will be responsible for managing, delivering, and governing CCIB business performance reporting and analytics requirements.
The role will also have responsibility to provide oversight and delivery of the CCIB performance reporting target state incl. client reporting and analytics. In addition to oversight across the breadth of day-to-day delivery, the broad areas covered within this role include
• Managing, delivering, and governing CCIB business performance reporting and analytics requirements.
• Strategic direction and oversight of creating standardised Performance Reporting through digital assets.
• Execute Client Reporting end state for CCIB.
• Build target state organisation for in line with Agile Operating Model.
This role also supports Group Strategy on its data requirements across its various projects.
Operating Model Strategy
• Partner with CCIB Finance Exco to centralise all FP&A processes within P2P.
• Collaborate with CCIB Finance Leadership to drive end to end centralisation of processes within P2P.
• Ongoing re-calibration of operating model to balance efficient standard process delivery along with content driven analytics and decision support.
• Partner with the CCIB Finance Leadership team and GPO Plan to Perform to deliver a robust strategy to invest and grow talent / people across P2P to enable delivery of operating model requirements.
Business and Processes (Global Process Ownership)
Governance and Oversight of FP&A Delivery
• Accountable for delivery of all performance reporting and analytics outcomes across products, segments, cost management, central performance management, region, and country requirements.
• Support the delivery of a robust and accurate flash and forecasting process.
• Support the execution of Group strategic priorities.
• Own the delivery of the Corporate Plan and Budget Restatement Processes for CCIB working in close collaboration with the CCIB Finance ExCo, the business and group FP&A.
• Ongoing re-calibration of operating model to balance efficient standard process delivery along with content driven analytics and decision support.
• Work with CCIB Finance leadership, and colleagues at Group and product level to provide transparency and analysis on cost drivers, effectively supporting cost and investment discussions and tracking.
• Produce quality MIS and business analytics to support business growth.
Defining and Executing Global Process across CCIB
• Map out end to end current state CCIB reporting process across countries and group.
• Work with CCIB team across countries to normalise process deviations and align to standard.
• Design and establish the target state reporting process that will drive standard outcomes by integrating group, regional and country expectations.
• Set and govern data standards across core performance management outcomes.
• Use standard service catalogues to drive centralisation and standardisation of processes across regions and countries into P2P.
• Simplify and standardise the monthly outlook process that integrates global accountability with regional / country insights.
• Focus and build a culture of continuous process improvement, standardisation of procedures, and implementation of a robust control framework.
Deliver CCIB Organisation Structure
• Collaborate with CCIB Leadership team to develop and execute the CCIB organisation design covering onshore and offshore locations.
• Engage CFO's and finance leadership in landing their Operating Model into P2P and within countries.
• Develop an effective organisation structure which finds the right balance between process standardisation and specialist business / functions advisory capability.
• Deliver organisational synergy through CoE's enabling bandwidth to create SME's to support change delivery and other value added outcomes.
• Continuously invest in talent that will drive content and commercial context into decision support activities.
Capital and Balance Sheet Management
• Support the balance sheet planning, capital management for CCIB, delivering MIs to provide transparency on drivers of capital usage and allocation.
People and Talent
• To lead, inspire and motivate the P2P CCIB teams ensuring that everyone achieves their potential and that the team delivers its collective agenda.
• Lead through example and build the appropriate culture and values. Set appropriate tone and expectations from their team and work in collaboration with risk and control partners.
• Ensure the provision of ongoing training and development of people and ensure that holders of all critical functions are suitably skilled and qualified for their roles ensuring that they have effective supervision in place to mitigate any risks.
• Set and monitor job descriptions and objectives for direct reports and provide feedback and rewards in line with their performance against those responsibilities and objectives.
• Employ, engage and retain high quality people, with succession planning for critical roles.
• Responsibility to review team structure / capacity plans.
Risk Management
• Responsible for identifying, assessing, monitoring, controlling and mitigating risks to the Group relevant to CCIB Finance process.
Governance
• Awareness and understanding of the regulatory framework in which the Group operates, and the regulatory requirements and expectations relevant to the role.
• Responsible for delivering 'effective governance' in P2P CCIB Finance; capability to challenge fellow executives effectively.
Regulatory and Business Conduct
• Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group's Values and Code of Conduct.
• Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. Our Ideal Candidate
• 15 years of work experience in Business Finance, Client and Sales performance management and FP&A.
• Have a sound knowledge on the right-shoring model (preferably with a financial services background).
• Should have strong experience in implementation of strategic changes to performance management processes, systems and data
• Strong connect with business performance metrics and how it is enabled through good process discipline
• Should have strong knowledge and understanding of data management, data quality and its linkage in driving business performance management.
• Good eye for detail and with a strong focus on controls and compliance to policies and procedures.
• Demonstrated experience of influencing decisions at senior leadership level.
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills and ability to work with cross cultural teams.
• Experience of working in a global organisation in a matrix environment.
