Our client is looking for a person who has led Finance & Accounts besides taxation for the organisation.
Functional Competencies:
- Strong understanding of regulations & laws and abreast with any changes
- Maintain the department budgeting, monitoring, reporting, communication and liaison at a level acceptable to the management
- Analytical and statistical ability as well as high on ethics like integrity
- Ability to perform professionally and prioritize in a fast paced environment.
Assist in the preparation, implementation and monitoring of policies, procedures and operational projects.
- Conduct periodic department meetings, coaching sessions and performance evaluations as designated
- Use observational coaching to interact with staff and identify operational inefficiencies and risk
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders
Role & Responsibilities:
- Planning, direction and manage the performance of all internal operations, so as to maintain and develop business growth in accordance with the overall strategy
- Play a significant role in long-term planning, with the view to delivering operational excellence business process and organizational planning
- Responsible for financial strategy, planning, accounting, management accounting, budgeting, asset / liability management, MIS systems and tax planning, defining expense policies and internal control procedures
- Ensures that the right practices across compliance, regulatory, risk, external relationships, financial management & controls are implemented in order to maintain the bank's license to operate
- Represents the firm on financial matters with industry, governmental, and regulatory organizations as well as with ratings agencies and outside investors, as applicable.
- Identify key processes and lay down SLA's and TAT's.
- Enforce compliance of all regulatory guidelines., RBI, External/internal Audit.
- Ensure that a company's business is conducted in compliance with professional standards
- Contribute in all type of Regulatory, Statutory Audit etc.
- Addressing queries by independent board audit committee members and board of directors
- Compliance & Risk Responsibilities such as timely payment of Taxes, timely submissions of returns, timely submission of replies of tax departments, compliance of tax related provisions during payment
