Job Description
We are currently seeking a Sweeper Operator for our Parking Lot Maintenance company located in Winnipeg. This is a seasonal position that works Monday to Friday days with optional extra hours on Saturday and Sunday. The position will run till the end of the season- 12-16 weeks. MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE WITH PULLING TRAILERS
What is the role?
The Sweeper Operator will be responsible for operating the parking lot Sweeper/scrubber within and around the city of Winnipeg.
Responsibilities include:
Operating specialized vehicles; including parking lot sweepers and scrubbers
Exercise caution when operating in confined spaces and congested streets
Clean garbage, debris, and contaminates from parking lots
Maintain vehicles and equipment by performing standard checks
Reports any incidents or mechanical failures to management
Ensures timely accurate communication of all information and completion of all required documentation in relation to street sweeper logs
Deals with the public in a courteous professional manner
Participates in training and is deemed competent to operate required equipment
Operates equipment in a safe and efficient manner; identifies maintenance required
Other duties as required
What do we value?
Class 5 driver’s license with a clean driver's abstract
Experience pulling a double trailer within the city.
Advanced proficiency in operating specialized vehicle and equipment is preferred
Working knowledge of vehicle and standard equipment maintenance is preferred
Ability to work continuously in all weather conditions
Ability to work in a team as well as independently, and with minimal supervision
