Billabong Swim School is one of the best-loved swim schools in the Tweed Area, and is seeking Casual Swim Instructors to join our amazing team in Casuarina, NSW.

Billabong Swim School is one of the leading Swim Schools in the Tweed Region and is highly recommended by current and former families. Many of our swimmers have stayed with us from their very first Babies class, right up to Squads and some even came back to work with us!
We are a family-owned and operated centre with more than 150 years of combined coaching and teaching experience! Billabong provides high quality swimming lessons based on our internationally-recognised lesson structure that has been designed to develop water safety, great swimming technique and a love of swimming “From the Womb to the Tomb”.
We are located in Casuarina, NSW and run lessons 6 days a week - weekday mornings and after school, as well as Saturday mornings, for children from 3 months old, right up into their early teen years. We have a strong presence in the community, with our race-nights, fundraising events, and regular themed-weeks. We are committed to helping our students of all ages and abilities become confident and capable swimmers.

What you'll be doing
Engaging with young children in a positive way to help instil a lifelong love of the water
Working within the framework of our structured lesson plan to develop strong swimming techniques and water safety
Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students
Provide regular feedback to management on student progress
Help ensure necessary equipment and resources are prepared and maintained
Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety standards
We also require all new staff (even those with experience) to shadow experienced instructors to learn our techniques before running their own classes
What we're looking for
Fun, enthusiastic people, over 16, who love the water and enjoy working with children, from babies and toddlers right up to early teens. You'll be able to fit into our flexible timetable weekday mornings, afternoons, and Saturday mornings.
You'll also have, or be willing and able to obtain (with our support):
A NSW Working With Children Check
Relevant swimming instructor qualifications with Swim Australia, AUSTSWIM or Surf Lifesaving Australia
Current CPR certification
And you'll be great at:
Communicating and engaging with students and their families
Working well independently and as part of a team
Sharing your love of the water, and your enthusiasm for learning new skills and celebrating the little milestones
