Switchboard Operator

The Holiday Inn London - Kensington is located just off Kensington High Street. It’s a 706 bedroom 4 star hotel with 13 meeting rooms and extensive spa facilities, and we are looking for a Switchboard Operator to join our busy and professional team. We need someone, who is charismatic, professional and well groomed.

Key Responsibilities:
• Operate telephone switchboard station in order to answer telephone calls externally and internally.
• Process guest requests for wake up calls, screening calls, and other requests related to placing or receiving telephone calls.
• Answer, record, and process all guest calls, requests, questions, complaints or concerns.
• Receive, record and relay messages accurately, completely and legibly.
• Log all guest requests or issues into Opera, contact appropriate individual or department (e.g. HSK, Shift Engineer, Room Service) and follow up with guest to ensure their request has been met to their satisfaction.
• Coordinate tasks and work with other departments to ensure that the department runs efficiently.
• Assign and ensure work tasks are completed on time and that they meet appropriate quality standards.
• Partner with and assist others to promote an environment of teamwork and achieve common goals.
The ideal candidate for this position:

• To have a can-do attitude and will to serve guest exceptionally.
• To be able to anticipate and address guests’ service needs.
• To have a proficient command of the English Language, written and verbal.
