Summary/Objective:
Under limited supervision, this position will assist with the implementation of a federal grant focused on shifting individuals with disabilities from subminimum wage employment toward competitive integrated employment. The Specialist will evaluate and assist with the development and administration of vocational rehabilitation services that are designed to prepare individuals with disabilities to seek, secure, and sustain competitive integrated employment outcomes.

Essential Functions:
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

1. Study and achieve understanding of the project goals and strategies to accomplish said goals.

2. Provide support to members of the SWTCIE team as assigned by their supervisor.

3. Correspond with providers and clients in order to coordinate services provided by the project.

4. Provide feedback for ways in which the project can increase both its efficiency and efficacy.

5. Assure quality services are provided within the project.

6. Work collaboratively with all other agency personnel to champion agency-wide initiatives and meet enterprise goals.

7. Ensure data is collected and documented in accordance with federal guidelines.

8. Provide weekly data updates to the project team to ensure records are properly tracked and maintained.

9. Regularly check the project inbox to ensure invoices are paid on time.

10. Attend regular meetings with federal auditors to inform them of the status of the project.

11. Provide information needed for biannual reports as directed by RSA to provide updates and ensure federal compliance.

12. Ensure compliance with federal, state, local, industry, contractual, and company regulations, standards, specifications, and best practices.

13. Other duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience:
High school diploma/GED and three (3) years of job-related experience in a social services related position; or one (1) year of experience at the lower level Social Svcs Tech 2 (SST011) or equivalent position.


Preferred Education and Experience:
Preference will be given to applicants who, in addition to meeting the required education and experience, possess one or more of the following:

One or more years of experience working with federal grants

Supervisory Responsibility:
None required for this position.


Work Environment:
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers and smartphones.

Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Working Conditions:
Incumbents working in this job perform duties in an office setting. This is a 40-hour workweek requirement. The position may involve managing a high-volume workload and demands a high level of accuracy while working with deadlines. Regular attendance is an important part of being successful in this position. Reasonable accommodations can be made available to qualified individuals upon request.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. This position occasionally requires long hours and weekend work.

Travel:
Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected.
