Job Title: Full Time Sybase DBA
This role is for a skilled Database Administrator with expertise in Sybase and Microsoft SQL server management.
We are seeking an individual who can handle high performance issues, manage P1 tickets, and resolve complex problems efficiently.
The ideal candidate will have strong skills in:
• Sybase database administration, including upgrade installation, client installation, migration, and replication
• Database performance tuning, refresh, and optimization
• Cross-skilled on Microsoft SQL server management, including High Availability cluster, Replication, Mirroring, etc.
• MSSQL DB troubleshooting
• Cross-skilled on Oracle and Hana or other technologies
The responsibilities of this role include:
• Taking ownership of high availability initiatives, such as replication, clustering, and HADR
• Providing support for cross-platform migrations and upgrades
• Ensuring optimal database performance through regular monitoring and maintenance
• Collaborating with the team to identify and resolve complex technical issues
Requirements:
• 6-8 years of relevant experience in Sybase and Microsoft SQL server management
• Expertise in Sybase database administration, including upgrade installation, client installation, migration, and replication
• Strong knowledge of database performance tuning, refresh, and optimization
• Cross-skilled on Microsoft SQL server management, including High Availability cluster, Replication, Mirroring, etc.
