ALMT function is responsible for Asset Liabilities management and treasury activity of BNP Paribas. It also handles Bank’s funding needs and risk management activities. ALMT IT is a Deal Capture & Deal Processing Application catering to IT demands of ALMT functions within the bank.

Position Purpose
Current position is under ALMT IT team scope to lead the development team. This is a team lead role and would entail management, co-ordination and execution of all development projects and activities.
Responsibilities
Direct Responsibilities
·Design and develop procedural programming solutions when the solutions demand, included Application designing / development / testing / support / enhancements / bug-fixing.
·Should be able to write queries using complex joins, filter criteria, type cast when required,
·Write Database code using the best practices whenever possible and help in tuning and refactoring legacy database code.
·Understand the business requirement of the project.
• Explore different solutions with the team to resolve problems while maintaining deliverable dates for the project.
• Keep abreast of technical developments and provide guidance on the resolution of issues.
• Liaise with the PM and identify tasks to be done from India. Prepare project Plan and Schedule
·Assist in the planning and evaluation of workforce and resource needs of assigned staff and the organizational operation.
• Timely escalation of issues to local management and/or project manager
• Provide weekly project reporting for the project identifying deliverables, and progress.
• Communicate clearly and precisely to teams in different locations the status of various projects.
• Maintain administration tasks; i.e. Jira to record progress against tasks, Wiki for documentation and Clarity for booking in time, support rotas etc.
• Ensuring that the organization standards are followed during various phases of software development life- cycle and thereby ensure quality of deliverables.
• Identify and manage project risks. Identify risk mitigation plans.
• Mentoring and guiding the team members.
• Should be able to provide L3 support proficiently.
• Managing periodic reporting on the progress to the management and different stake holders.
Contributing Responsibilities
• Contribute towards innovation, suggest new l practices to be investigated.
• Contribute towards initiatives to improve processes and delivery.
Technical & Behavioral Competencies
Mandatory Technical Skills:
·10+ years of dedicated working experience in software development.
·Strong knowledge on Sybase ASE/Oracle Database
·Strong in knowledge of writing complex SQL queries with multiple joins, Stored Procedures, Triggers, Views, Cursors, Indexes, Performance Tuning knowledge
·Good Query tuning knowledge.
·Basics of shell scripting.
·Thorough understanding of complete Software Development Lifecycle
·Experience in technical analysis and database designing
·Self-motivated, good interpersonal skills and ability & willingness to learn & work on diverse technologies (languages, frameworks, and tools)
·Good Communication Skills
Nice to have Skills:
• Knowledge of object-oriented programming
• Exposure to financial domain.
• Knowledge/experience on setting up No SQL (Cassandra), Kafka, etc.
