This role offers you the exciting opportunity to play a key role in the successful onboarding and buildout of strategic platforms, both proprietary and vendor-based, by ensuring that all functionality is successfully tested and fit for purpose for our global user population. You will work closely with members of the IT team, and with our vendors, to ensure that enhancements are delivered as expected. You will develop subject matter expertise on the fascinating Equities Syndicate deal lifecycle, and will leverage that expertise as an integral and valued member of the team to successfully deliver best-in-class technology solutions
What will you be doing
The successful candidate will:
• Own the QA process, have a passion for 'breaking the platform' via proactive and thoughtful testing, raise and track bugs to resolution, and provide sufficient details for the team to investigate
• Actively participate in meetings with the team, to clarify requirements and to help drive projects and sprints
• Analyze and understand requirements from the business analyst and key stakeholders, and work with the business analyst and other team members to plan and design test cases
• Leverage JIRA and Confluence to capture test cases, results/feedback, and domain knowledge, and to ensure appropriate details and artefacts are available for future reference
What we're looking for:
• Extensive experience owning the entire QA lifecycle - including understanding requirements within the appropriate business/user context, creating and tracking test cases, and owning testing and bug resolution
• Proven ability to work within a global team on a complex platform, with the ability, together with the team, to prioritize competing priorities and deliver on time and per expectations
• The ability to communicate clearly and work collaboratively, as the team's primary/sole QA tester, within a global team, while being able to drive testing forward at pace
