We support and serve some of the Teir-1 banks in processing their complex Securities transactions by designing and creating seamless software modules involving Middle and Back-Office functionalities.
What you will be doing
• Manage and administer application servers (weblogic) and Oracle databases used for product development on multiple environments (oracle fusion middleware stack – app server)
• Administrate product installations in Environments: Oracle Database (10G, 11G, 12C), Oracle Application Server, Weblogic, Oracle Forms & Reports, Oracle Identity & Access Management , Active MQ etc.
• Configure and fine tune Weblogic application servers on multiple development environments (e.g. queues, topics etc.) and Core Database Administration
• Works closely with application developers and system administrators ensuring best practices and standards are followed in relation to the physical database design, integrity, performance, and security of the environment.
• Troubleshoots and resolves development environment issues related to application servers, Weblogic and databases
• Work on continuous improvement in the administration processes of databases systems and application servers. Enhance existing processes and help in setting new processes for streamlining.
• Performs PoCs on different Oracle and DevOps products for administration and best practices and comes up with analysis within the stipulated timeframe.
• Helps in providing DBA and System Admin strategy (backup, recovery etc.) plans
• Ability to react to changing requirements & recommend alternative solutions where necessary
• Analyze, understand and implement Dev-Ops automation in the product
• Good hands-on knowledge of Source Code Management (Version Control System) tools Git and Git workflows
• Proficient in developing Continuous Integration/ Delivery pipelines

• B.Tech or equivalent

• Competencies :
• Overall experience of more than 6 to 8 years in system and database administration
• A proven system administration experience in the following environments: Linux, Redhat, CentOS, Solaris
• Proven experience with WebLogic administration is required.
• Excellent knowledge in Oracle DB administration (in installation, upgrades, administering DB objects, problem solving, optimization, partitioning, auditing, encryption etc)
• Experience in application installation on Unix/Linux based systems.
• Demonstrated ability to handle multiple environments, provide deployment support or patch installations.
• Flexibility to work on Oracle application server administration, database administration and other Dev Ops tools as needed by business.
• Proficient with various development, testing and deployment tools – Git, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, Puppet, Chef and Ansible.
• Knowledge of major cloud service providers, Azure.
• Hands-on knowledge of software containerization platforms like Docker and container orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
• Excellent understanding of Dev-Ops key concepts.
• Knowledge of Linux and Scripting languages (Python)
